PROGRAMS

Our Toddler room provides the ideal space for an inquisitive toddler to explore, pretend play, and enjoy music, books, sensory experiences and physical activity.
Teachers provide opportunities that foster positive identity and an emerging sense of self. They also join children in learning centers to extend and deepen children’s learning. A record of your child’s experiences and activities is provided daily.
The curriculum guides the development of a daily schedule that is predictable, yet flexible and responsive to the individual needs of each child.
The children are provided varied opportunities and materials to use their senses to learn about objects in the environment.
The children also have time for daily outdoor exploration on our toddler playground, which is designed to promote physical movement and stimulate experimentation, discovery and sensory experiences.

Our Pre School one classroom supports physical movement and provides sensory simulation for small groups of three and four year-olds.
Teachers plan theme-based activities around subjects that children have shown an interest in. They help children develop social skills, coordination and to value themselves and each other.
The curriculum provides children with the opportunity to learn language as well as color and number concepts through hands-on activities and exploration of classroom materials.
The children are provided with opportunities to express themselves through music, art and dramatic play.
Outdoor learning occurs daily on our expansive playground that offers both the opportunity to discover nature and to enjoy physical activity.

Our Pre School Two program provides four and five year-olds with many open-ended opportunities and materials to express themselves creatively through music, drama and dance. The classroom is designed to guide children into acquiring specific skills and to encourage and provide children with a variety of opportunities for learning.
Teachers organize space and select materials in all content and developmental areas to stimulate exploration, experimentation, discovery and conceptual learning. Teachers help children develop a strong self-concept and respect for one another.
The curriculum provides children with multiple opportunities to build an understanding of numbers, number names and their relationship to object quantities. Children are encouraged to explore materials to learn key content and principles of science. Children work on pre-reading skills and are given support to write on their own.

Children are encouraged to explore materials to learn key content and principles of science. Children work on pre-reading skills and are given support to write on their own.

Our school age program accommodates children before and after school and for full days during school closures and vacations.

Before School
Our before school program begins at 6:00 am, and our teachers provide care and activities until the bus arrives at 8:25. The children are served breakfast at 8:00.

After School
The after school program begins when the children arrive on the bus at 3:25 and ends at 6:00 pm. The children are provided with a snack when they arrive, and they can select from a variety of activities with friends or choose a quiet area to work on homework or read. Weather permitting, children enjoy our expansive playground from 4:30 until pick up.

School Age full day and summer camp
Teachers organize sports, crafts and activities based on the children’s interests. The children help develop the rules and the teachers support them in their cooperation, communication and respect for each other and the environment. Breakfast, lunch and snack are provided to the children at no additional cost. During the summer, children swim daily at Greenwood Pond located behind the center. Additional enrichment programs are provided during the summer months – examples of these are: storytellers, zoo creature visits, tidal pools, bouncy houses, clowns, martial arts programs and magicians.
